The Japanese State Banquet held in the Nederland was a great success. It called for serious dining and even more serious was the fashion and the tiaras. For the Dutch royal women, it seems like bigger, bolder, and heavier tiaras are the way to go.

Queen Maxima was seen wearing the most beautiful and the biggest, boldest, and heaviest tiara of them all, The Stuart Tiara. While her daughters wore something a little bit smaller but no less fancy and dramatic, one wore a diamond tiara while the other opted for diamonds and rubies. The eldest member of the family, the king’s mother, wanted something easier to wear, so she wisely chose the Dutch Diamond Bandeau tiara that is not big, but big enough to make people look.
