Bows and headbands were popular once but then their popularity dropped and people preferred much smaller, just rubber bands. These hair accessories can be very expensive and can overwhelm and exaggerate your look depending on the type of outfit you are wearing. It can either help you make a bold statement or it can make you look silly. Believe it or not the history of wearing bows in one’s hair used to be men’s fashion. Men used to wear bows in their wigs in the old days centuries ago. Then women started to wear them. But as the years passed people preferred wearing simpler clothes and just simple looking headbands and rubber bands to tie their hair not bows.
